We’re very excited to announce a new addition to our portfolio of life science clients. PacBio, a leading provider of high-quality, highly accurate sequencing solutions, has appointed Spark to provide PR support as it accelerates its EMEA expansion following the opening of its ultra-high-tech laboratory and European HQ in London.

PacBio develops the world’s most advanced, comprehensive, and accurate gene sequencing systems. Its technologies enable researchers to continue innovating and progressing our understanding of biology. PacBio is involved in numerous exciting projects globally and in the UK, including the Wellcome Sanger Institute’s Darwin Tree of Life project and Genomics England’s 100,000 Genomes Project.

Core objectives of the PR programme include raising awareness of PacBio in English speaking trade and business media by demonstrating the role of genomics in accelerating scientific discoveries. The Spark life sciences team will develop creative campaigns and written content that will position PacBio as a thought leader and emphasise the unique capabilities of PacBio’s sequencing against other technologies in the field.

Neil Ward, General Manager, PacBio EMEA, commented, “Spark came highly recommended to us and has strong credentials in life sciences. Our aim is to continue spreading awareness about the promise of genomics to better human health and the health of our planet, and the power of PacBio’s solutions to unleash this potential. The Spark team has already started playing an important role in helping us tell that story in a compelling way.”
