The winning piece of coverage isn’t just about circulation or credibility. A great business national or broadcast piece doesn’t always beat trade coverage – outcomes are key. How effectively was the client’s message communicated? What was the engagement like? Did it result in leads?

Coverage Cup - Christmas Edition

The last two weeks have given us plenty to celebrate on the coverage front. Venafi’s enterprise architect, Martin Thorpe, was quoted in an article on Forbes discussing security vulnerabilities in smart cities. This coverage was testament to the team quickly identifying the opportunity and putting together insightful comment, which fitted the journalist’s brief. Not only did this result in top coverage, but a very happy client!

The national coverage didn’t stop there, after the Huntsman Security team secured coverage in Raconteur’s ‘Mitigating Cyber Risk’ supplement. Piers Wilson, Huntsman’s head of product development was quoted in an article discussing the importance of enterprises having cyber insurance to defend against the fall out of attacks like NotPetya.

The value of building an ongoing relationship with freelance writers resulted in a great piece of IOActive coverage on Computer Weekly. IOActive’s VP of sales and strategy, John Sheehy was featured in an article on the future of network-connected device security discussing the need to build security infrastructure from the ground up.

Venafi also secured coverage in Computer Weekly, following the launch of its development fund which is aimed at accelerating the delivery of protection for machine identities. The article details the aims of the fund and the impact it will have on the industry. Further coverage of the announcement was also secured in Global Banking Finance Review, Finextra and Finance Derivative.

Kainos’ great work with the Welsh Revenue Authority (WRA) was highlighted in GovTechLeaders, after Spark organised an interview with the writer and Anthony Pritchard, the WRA’s head of digital and technology. The article discusses how the WRA has been using Kainos’ digital tax collection and management system since the departments inauguration in October 2017 highlighting how digital tools can drive customer experience forward in the public sector.

The Spark team hit the ground running with new client, Spectrami. Setting up an interview with CEO Anand Choudha and CRN, to discuss how the company managed to revamp its strategy to take on the UK market.

When it came to client opinion pieces, an article by Verizon’s CIO-EMEA, Sanjeev Jain was placed in Techx365, which discussed the five key skills the modern CIO needs to master in the cx revolution. Meanwhile the MuleSoft team had reason to cheer after CBR published 2019 tech predictions from the company’s founder and VP of product strategy, Ross Mason.
